Awesome Marisa interview
By Lisa | January 7, 2008
I received an email from Nathaniel who writes the Film Experience Blog to let me know about a post he made. He was lucky enough to talk to Marisa and the interview is absolutely amazing. They talk for about 20 minutes and cover everything from A Different World to the Oscar win to what’s coming up for her. If you follow this link, you can read his blog post and, at the end of the post, you can find a link to the full audio interview with Marisa. This is a must listen to!
I want to send a special thanks to Nathaniel for sharing this with me and allowing me the chance to share it with all of you.

Did anyone catch the name of the film Marisa said she was going to shoot in the beginning of 2008? Sounded like The Wrestler but I couldn’t make it out. There’s nothing on IMDb with that title. Sounded like she was on a cellphone for the interview and the volume was up and down.
Liked her choices of directors she’d like to work with-Scorcese, Anderson, Ergoyan and newcomer Sarah Polley. And liked her choices of the 3 films she appeared in that she wished more people would see-A Brother’s Kiss, Happy Accidents and Factotum. She’s not in Kiss or Factotum (only 10 minutes) for very long either.

Thanks for the link!
Ronnie, The Wrestler is now in filming, set to be released in 2009.
I absolutely loved her in Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead, she was the backbone of he film, even if her role was not huge, she gave it her all, and us fans appreciated it very much. Love her!
