A bit of bad news…
By Lisa | January 8, 2008
From what I hear, the Golden Globe Awards have pretty much been canceled. In place of the usual star-studded awards show, there will be an hour long news conference where the winners will be announced. The change is due to the ongoing writer’s strike that started on November 7 of last year. At this time, the same fate is probable for the Oscars unless the strike ends soon. This all means that there will be less Marisa appearances this winter.
On a brighter note: there has been a deal made for a temporary lift of the strike to allow the Screen Actors Guild Awards to go on. Marisa is not nominated but hopefully she will make an appearance. There has also been no word on the status of the Independent Spirit Awards so they may continue. Marisa is nominated for her performance in Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead so I really hope this show will not be canceled.
Marisa did make an appearance at last night’s Critics Choice Awards and I will be posting photos later today.
