In this Newark Star-Ledger interview, Marisa tells what drew her to the script for the new movie, and about her experience filming it.

The satirical war movie, War, Inc., written and produced by John Cusack also stars Marisa Tomei, Hilary Duff, Joan Cusack, Sir Ben Kingsley and Dan Akroyd. iVillage had the chance to sit down with Marisa and Hilary at the Tribeca Film Festival, which was screening the film.

I have a great affinity toward both Marisa and Hilary. I was a camp counselor when The Lizzie McGuire Movie came out, and thanks to my campers, I not only have every song from the movie memorized, but I have dances made up for each of them too. (Yes, I just admitted that to the world.) I’ve also loved Marisa Tomei ever since I was little. I memorized her lines from My Cousin Vinny and I even have a VHS tape (old school, I know) of her movie Untamed Heart. So you can only imagine my excitement when I found out that I’d have a chance to interview both of these ladies.

I’m still confused as to what’s going on with War, Inc.  Every site that I’ve found says that it’s coming out on DVD on July 1st but that it’s also being released May 23rd in theaters.  That’s an extremely short window.  So for now, I’m gonna say that War, Inc. will be in theaters on May 23rd.

I have made a decision on the Before the Devil Knows contest.  There will be no vote.  Instead, both participants will receive the DVD once it releases on the 15th of this month.  Due to the lack of interest, I will probably not run anymore contests.

I am trying to decide what I want to do with the site.  Don’t worry, it’s not going to close or be put up for adoption/sale.  I’m just considering changing hosts again.  I LOVE the host that I’m on for many reasons.  My other sites are hosted by fan-sites.org and they are about to set up a new server so media archives can be streaming.  My current host does not allow this so I had been looking into how I was going to set up the archive since I wanted all my videos to be streaming.  Anyway, I’m going to talk to my host over at fan-sites and see if she’s willing to only host the media archive.  If not, I will probably change hosts once again - although it’s such a huge pain in the ass.
